PhD course  

PhD course has been established at the V.N. Sukachev Institute of 

Forest for the purpose of training high-qualified specialists in biology 

for science, education and different branches of national economics. 

Presently the 40-interior students and 20 extra-mural students are being 

tought at the PhD course

    03.00.12 – Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants

    03.00.16 – Ecology

    03.00.27 – Soil science

    06.03.01 – Forest cultures, Breeding of trees, Seed Growing 

    06.03.02 – Forest inventory and Forest management

    06.03.03 – Forest science and Forestry, Forest fires and their  

               suppression

    The Scientific Council on defending Postdoctoral and PhD theses has  

    functioned at the V.N. Sukachev Institute of Forest since 1947. 

    The 140 scientists defended their Postdoctoral theses from 1947 to 2003 

    and  340 PhD theses were defended from 1960 to 2003

    The Scientific Council accepts to theses in the following specialities 

    for them being defended:
